These Terms & Conditions govern all purchases, enquiries, and use of the V.I.P. Furniture & Bedding Cairns website and stores. By making a purchase or placing an
order, you agree to these terms.
Payment
Full payment for your purchase is required before pick-up or delivery. Payment must be cleared 24 hours prior to delivery date. We accept Cash, MasterCard, Visa, AMEX &
direct deposit. Goods remain the property of V.I.P. Furniture & Bedding Pty Ltd until purchase is paid in full.
Delivery and Pick-up
Delivery includes drop-off of new furniture only. Our team does not move, remove, or rearrange existing furniture, nor assemble items, unless prior arrangements have been made with the store and are clearly noted and paid for on your invoice. Customers must ensure that delivery areas are clear, accessible, and ready to accept delivery. Specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed; deliveries are scheduled within a timeframe based on logistics and route planning, and customers will be notified of an estimated delivery window in advance.
If nobody is available to accept the delivery at the nominated address and our allocated time period, we will be unable to complete the delivery. In those circumstances, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery and additional charges may apply.
If you have arranged to pick-up your goods, we would appreciate it if these goods are collected within 14 days unless otherwise arranged with the store. V.I.P. Furniture &
Bedding staff are not required to help customers load goods into their own vehicles and will not be responsible for securing goods to vehicles. Customers picking up goods
should bring assistance with them and own packing materials e.g. blankets, ropes.
Please note majority of items are flat packed and fees will apply for assembly.
Cancellation
Cancellations and refunds will not be given for change of mind, if goods do not fit or if there is a delay with the ETA. In the event that there is a legal reason for a refund/cancellation of a sale, refunds will only be given in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Australian Consumer Law. A minimum of 10% of the invoiced
price may be deducted from any discretionary refund or cancellation to cover administration costs and this is at the complete discretion of management. Special
custom orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the invoice price. (*a special order is when goods are ordered that we would not normally stock)
Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision i.e. colour, comfort, size etc.
All warranties given or implied are ex-manufacturer. Unfortunately, warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear, including pilling, fading, loss or deterioration (of the whole product or its components)
- Damage caused by improper use, cleaning, negligence, treatment, transportation, storage of the products or otherwise caused by your acts and / or omissions
- Damage caused through any modifications, alterations, improper assembly, tampering or products used in an abnormal manner and not for the products intended purposes
- Damage caused by exposing the products to the sun, extreme heat or cold, or chemicals / agents that are known to damage the finish of the product
- Body impressions on mattresses, sofas and chairs where the indentation is less than 35mm
- Damages caused by Act of God
- Defects in products that are sold As Is which were brought to your attention on purchase
- Products used for commercial purposes
We reserve the right to repair or exchange where the manufacturer finds the goods to have a minor fault. Refunds will only be given where all reasonable attempts to repair or exchange the product have been exhausted or a major fault has been found.
If you are offered a replacement product as part of your warranty claim, the original guarantee period still stands.
To make a warranty claim please contact V.I.P. Furniture & Bedding. You will need to provide proof of purchase (your receipt) as part of your claim.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
