This Refund Policy explains how we handle returns and refunds at V.I.P. Furniture & Bedding Cairns. All refunds are governed by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the ACL.
Cancellation
Cancellations and refunds will not be given for change of mind, if goods do not fit or if there is a delay with the ETA. In the event that there is a legal reason for a refund/cancellation of a sale, refunds will only be given in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Australian Consumer Law. A minimum of 10% of the invoiced
price may be deducted from any discretionary refund or cancellation to cover administration costs and this is at the complete discretion of management. Special custom orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the invoice price.
How to Make a Return or Claim
To request a refund, repair, or replacement:
- Provide proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation).
- Contact us within a reasonable time after discovering the issue.
- Return the item in its original condition with all packaging and accessories where possible.
We will assess the claim and advise the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) as required by the ACL.
Exclusions
- Delivery and installation fees are not refundable.
- Goods damaged after purchase (e.g., through misuse, improper assembly, or accidental damage) are not covered.
- Sale or clearance items may have reduced return options where permitted by law.
Processing Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.
